The Best Week Ever

Friday, August 9, 2013

Because I'm in full vacation/wedding/family mode, I haven't got much time to post today. Instead I'll just tell you who's having the best week ever, that would be my seven-week-old niece, Lola. Because she is just the sweetest little baby ever. She doesn't make a peep except to smile and coo.

Really, would you just look at how cute she is?

And her painted toesies? I just can't, too much cuteness going on for me to handle.

Of course Knox is along, as well... He's in full Knox mode just bossing everyone around telling us all what's up.

He felt right at home in my uncle's bar,  as you can see "the regulars" loved him. He's a real pool shark and was willing to take up a game with anyone. We could barely drag him out the place when it was time to head back to the hotel. Like mother like son...

Speaking of.... here's mom and baby just hanging out at a bar. It's fine. It's a family ran bar so it doesn't count as trashy, right? Let's pretend anyway.

And if anyone needs to make a call my uncle's van luckily has a "car phone." But unfortunately it only calls 1992.

More family pics.

I don't know how all of those fancy bloggers dress their children in cute skinny pants or tight sweaters or any of that hipster clothing. Knox absolutely refuses to wear anything but "athletic attire." It's such a shame. I took him to H&M and offered to buy him anything. The only thing he wanted was a pack of beads and sunglasses.

Lola and papa.

To make up for my lack of post today I'll be hitting up Instagram heavy @taylorgracewolfe if you'd like to follow along as we bring babies back to the bar again tonight, it's a riot. Knox is chomping at the bit to try out the dart board. That should be fun.

On that note, hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Where does one find a cell phone like that in 2013? Hahahahaha

  2. I don't like children so I'm just going to comment with what came in my brain.

ONLY YOU could make camo pants and a jean jacket look that good, you betch. Seriously, gimme your wardrobe and ability to rock such things.

  3. Knox and I could be twins, I also only will wear athletic attire. But you can buy me stuff at H&M... I wouldn't mind that.

  7. My daughter's cute outfits last for about 3 minutes before she spills something or demands that we take it off.

My dad had a phone like that back in 1992. He probably still has it in his house somewhere because he's cheap and doesn't throw anything away.

  8. That's a beautiful picture of you girls.

Also, one of my friends from college had a "bag phone" that she could only use in her car??? This was in 2002, so cell phones WERE available.

Your niece and nephew are too precious!

  9. Love the baby pics-- and the fact that you are starting her out in a bar at a young age. Baby's Mama does NOT look like she just had a gorgeous babe-- props to her. And Knox is just takin' care of business-- don't hate Tay!

  11. Bahaha the car phone. My family's old bus-van-thing had one of the TV's that sat on the FLOOR between the driver and passenger seat. We called it the Shaggin Waggon.

  14. haha! I think the exact same thing when it comes to dressing the kids. I'm almost tempted... almost to buy all this cute, trendy attire when I just put it right back on the rack when I realize Ava wiped her gooey goldfish hands on her shirt. it just doesn't happen. family time is the best time. have fun girl!

  15. The baby in a bar, love it:) I also agree about Hipster kids in tight pants...I mean, my 4 and 5 year old tell ME what they are wearing and that is fine with me. Even if it consists of Princess dresses with biker boots. Glad you're having fun with your family!

  17. D'aww! She's so stinkin' adorable!

My dad used to have a phone juuuust like that in his work van - he even had it rigged up to his horn so that when his van phone rang, it honked his horn reaaally loud. It was obnoxious. Perfect setup for the 90s, though. Totally hip for sure..
