Weekly Recap a la Vlog...

Friday, September 20, 2013

Bottoms up, you guys.

I'm about to present to you my first vlog ever. I'm a little nervous about it so please resist the urge to make fun of my lisp (Mr. Wilson, the Northern Hills Elementary speech pathologist, would be so disappointed to see all of the exercises we did together didn't completely rid me of it)  or my raspy morning voice, or my eyes which appear to dart all over the room as if I'm chasing a laser pointer... Or even just the fact that this might be overall terrible quality. I have no idea what I'm doing. I was just in the mood to get a little crazy today...

What the hell, it was actually kind of fun. Thus I present to you, my weekly recap- video style.

Have a great weekend, pals. Thanks for watching.

  4. Screw Miley's new show they should hire you. But seriously, the amount of awkwardness I felt when I did my first vlog is priceless. Well done!

  5. Oh man, I forgot to tweet, facebook, Instagram, vine, etc about my iPhone update! Dang it.

  6. Such a fan of the vlog. If I was in the Chicago area I would totally crash one of your stand-ups! I've been following your blog for awhile now and (I think) this is my first comment. My boyfriend walked in as I was watching just and asked what I was doing. "Oh just this blog I follow, she did her first vlog so we're basically hanging out right now" haha :)

    1. Vlogs make virtual hang-outs that much more possible.

  7. This is epic, I thought I liked your blog before, this vlog has brought it to a whole 'nother level. My favorite line, Abby & Brittany from TLC send their best, that had me cracking up. I think this should be a weekly or at least monthly thing around here :)

  14. So, I have to say: I definitely imagined you with a more sarcastic-sounding voice (whatever that is, I really don't know), but I am going to say that I like the actual version of you even better than the one I imagined! Also, I put up my first vlog a couple of days ago, so I totally get your anxiety. But, you rocked it. Keep them coming.

    3. you don't sound weird
    4. your demeanor kind of reminds me of sweet dee from its always sunny in philadelphia ( you don't look like her, maybe it's just the way you talk and she is hilarious)

  17. That was great! I hope it will lead to me telling this story to friends in a couple years, "Oh that new chick on SNL? Yeah, I totally saw her first vlog. She was good back then, but yeah, she's worked really hard to get here. Glad I can say I 'followed her when.'"

Keep up the great blog posts!

  20. Love the vlog! I don't know how you made it look so good...when I watch myself on FaceTime, I just look like a fool and then I realize that is how I must always look to people.

It was also nice to hear your voice (ok, that sounds stalk-like and just weird) you know what I mean. I had given you a different sounding voice in my head when I read your posts. Now I know how you should sound. Does that make sense?!?! Ha

Ok, I'm done now. Just have a good weekend, ok? :)

  27. I'm a little late to this party, but this vlog was my favorite thing to read in my little blog roll today. Your voice is soothing? Sorry if that's a little creepy

  28. I love it! So so so funny...I vote that you do these weekly! It's like blog stand-up! And it's awesome to hear more of your voice! I don't mean this in a bad way at all but you sound kind of Canadian (in a good way!) but maybe that's a Nebraska thing? Seriously though I am just trying to say, this was amazing and please keep it up!
