Appropriately enough, today's selected entries are all about Valentines Day. I, like most bitter young girls who were never lucky enough to have a boyfriend, had a roller coaster relationship with this holiday. I loved it in elementary school school, hated it in middle school, ignored it in high school, and drank too much on it in college.

I almost stumped you with those mysterious "cookie grams" didn't I? Glad I could clear that up for you. I forgot extra money on all of the important days in elementary i.e. bake sales, book fairs, penny wars, and cookie gram days. Those were the critical four and like clockwork I forgot my quarters every damn year and it killed me.

I should just feel lucky my parents were kind enough to give me something on Valentines Day. Enough with the "boo whos," loser. And I'm still confused by the frilly hearts doodled on top of the page, I was never a heart doodling kind of girl. I just wasn't ready to see that is all (mentally ready.)
