Social Wolfe

And the snow of 2014 just keeps on falling.

It was fun in the beginning. But ten snowstorms later I'm just over it. I'm over the slushy mess it leaves behind. I'm over the damp scarves and wet hats I'm constantly throwing in the dryer. And I'm over having to carry an extra pair of shoes with me everywhere because I don't want to walk around in my snow boots all day.

But enough complaining. Let's look at the winter wonderland I'm living in.

Our only choice on Saturday morning when we woke up to find over eight inches of new snow piled against our door was to bundle up and head to our favorite pizza place, Home Slice.

Yes, that's a pizza slice in my Bloody Mary. What else would you expect from a pizza bar in Chicago?

*sweater can be found here, more details and less blurry photos to come later.

Chris and I are really into "clean eating" right now, can't you tell? If you haven't had crumbled goat cheese mixed with marinara you haven't lived.

Snow showers aside, it was a good weekend. I'm just happy January is over to be honest, we're one step closer to being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel... C'mon spring, please get here sooner rather than later.

And now I'm going to change gears completely and announce something that has been a long time in the making but has finally come to fruition over the last few months.

As most of you know I'm not a fan of mixing my professional life and blog life, I simply prefer to keep the two things separate. That is until the two things started to overlap without me even realizing it. For the past year I have been managing the social media accounts for a few small businesses and various people in Chicago, and believe it or not almost all of my clients found me through my blog.

I launched my site Social Wolfe a few weeks ago and was hesitant to mention it on here simply because I didn't want to mix blog and work. But considering I was able to start Social Wolfe largely in part because of my blog it seemed silly not to. After all, I blog about my life and Social Wolfe has been consuming much of my life as of recent.

I promise I won't be plugging Social Wolfe on here very often, in fact you'll hear of it very little actually. I'm just very excited about it and knew I had to mention it sooner or later.

So if you're a small business owner or a blogger and are ready to take your brand to the next level using the power of social media click here so we can start building your online community together!

*and end plug.

All in all guys, I'm just overjoyed I've finally found something I truly enjoy doing. I love social media and I love feeling like I've helped someone grow their business by using it. I hope you don't mind me sharing a little bit about it today.

And on that note I'm about to put on my fat pants, it's time to make some Super Bowl dip. Have fun playing on your iPhones today during the game. Here's to hoping our batteries last until halftime!

  9. I can understand how all of that snow can be exhausting...send some down here! Other than a 3 day ice storm, we haven't seen any winter weather this year. :/

Also, that Bloody Mary is the most legit thing I've ever seen.

  11. I think Winter Wonderland's look so pretty but I am thankful that here I do not see much of it... The pizza looks yummy minus the one on your bloody mary.. I must admit that is a first for me! Maybe I will see it happen again when I am in Chicago for the summer visiting a friend :)

  19. The Bloody Marys are so good in Chicago that they grow slices of pizza? I've gotta visit!!.. but only after that snow shit is over and done with because our two days of snow (ice) on the ground here in FL was just pure hell and I don't think I could stand another day of that. <>

  20. I like the snow... but I'm over it too. I'm tired of worrying if my car is going to make it over the snow and ice everyday.

And congrats on Social Wolfe! Checking it out right now. :)
