When Spring Came To Chicago

Today is going to be a bit of a ramble post because my brain is kind of scattered at the moment. The sun is finally shining in Chicago and it’s rumored it’s going to reach almost 60 degrees. I just don’t know what to do myself. Harlow and I went for a long walk this morning and for the first time in months it actually felt good to be outside. I’ve missed that.

I’m also heading back to the Laugh Factory tonight to try out some new stuff which makes me very excited and also veryyyy nervous. Maybe I’ll bring some props on stage and try out the George Washington hair tutorial? Jk. But seriously, that would be fun. After standup Chris and I got tickets to see the always hilarious TJ and Dave this evening at iO. (TJ is the guy from the Sonic commercials and he’s also known as one of the best improvisers ever. Like ever ever.)

And… I also saw the first preview reel for that reality/documentary show I filmed a few months ago. Right before I clicked play I was almost sick to my stomach I was so nervous. I was sure I would look stupid, sound stupid, act stupid, ext ext, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. Of course I look pretty fugly on camera, but all in all the quality was really really good. The magicians in the editing studio did an amazing job and I’m anxious to see what happens next with it all. Hopefully I can share footage on here soon… Time will tell.

But anyway, it’s been a while since I’ve talked about things I’m kind of loving at the moment, so let’s take a look.

First and foremost, Harlow and I are both obsessed with PetBox. I swear he gets sent more goodies in the mail than I do now. The mailmen know “Harlow Wolfe” better than anyone in our house. He was spoiled with all sorts of new treats, toys, and even new shampoo and conditioner.

I love giving him the “jump” joint health treats because I want to believe Harlow is going to live forever and these treats will help. And I gave him a bath with his new suds last weekend and I can’t tell you how amazing his fur feels. His coat is as soft and shiny as it has ever been! But the best part about PetBox is that for every box purchased, a rescue animal is fed. I love that so much. Friday is National Pet Day, so give your fur baby a treat (as well as a rescue pup) and order this box of goodies.

And next on my list of things I love is Lola Grace. My sister sent me this photo of her last night hanging out at Knox’s first soccer practice. Knox playing soccer, I can’t even imagine. I feel like he probably just plows kids over. But would you look at Lola’s baby Sperrys? And did you know babies wear infinity scarves now? Lola is modeling the classic InFINinbib. A scarf that doubles as a bib. I need one of these.

Last but not least, it’s officially spring nail polish season! It’s finally time to put away the dreary dark colors of winter and brighten up for summer. I just got my newest package from Square Hue in the mail and I am loving the colors they sent me! Well, I love two of the colors I should say. I’m not a fan of the lime green, it makes my fingers look like I’m sick or something I think. But to each their own. I’ve heard some people really like green nail polish…

The collection you see above is the “Amsterdam Collection.” Because I’m a big fan of spreading the word about things I love, I’ve partnered with Square Hue and they’re actually offering one lucky reader the chance to win a free package for the month of May, “The Rio Collection.” If you’re a nail polish hoarder like myself, just enter below!

And on that note, I’m out. Happy hump day! Hope you get to do something fun today.

PS- I just had a Saturday Takeover spot open for this weekend. If you’d like to grab it, click here!
