The Best Finds This Week
Friday, July 31, 2015
Let's all take a breather and reflect on the fact it's Friday. Woo! The thing that I don't want to reflect on however is that it's the last day of July. What? Why? How? I'm so not into this right now.
So I'm going to pretend it's not happening. Instead I'm going to put on a sun dress, flip flops, the biggest sunglasses I can find, and head to Lollapalooza to listen to some good tunes and act like summer is never going to end. Ever. Ever.
But before I do that, I'm going to share some of my favorites from the week.
Like the fact I finally joined the high waisted bikini trend. I'm still not quite sure about it. Let's just say I think I need to do more squats before I can confidently wear this in pubic.
And I just realized my photo has the little "Instagram" icon on it still because this is obviously a screen shot from my phone. Nice. So now I'll use it as a plug and tell you all to follow my amazingly entertaining Instagram feed @thedailytay.
Speaking of Instagram (in comedy we call that a transition) last week I was sent this book from Chatbooks for completely free. No strings attached. They didn't even ask me to post about it, I swear. But I am posting about it because I think it's pretty cool.
They take sixty of your most liked Instagram photos (or whatever you choose) and put it together in a book for you. I like that the photos include the caption as well as the date, it's more fun to look at this way.
I used to spend hours putting together photo books with witty little captions and I now I feel like this service kind of takes care of it for me. And it makes a great coffee table book. If you want to create your own book for FREE just like I did (it takes about 30 seconds) just enter the code: theda559 at this site.
And then we've got this statement necklace I just got from the Happiness Boutique.
It's unlike anything I own and I'm really excited to wear it, I'm just not sure how to wear it... Happiness Boutique has an incredible selection and FREE shipping, check out their customer rewards program here.
And finally, I'm going to very un-shamefully plug my newest Talk Herbie To Me shirts for my all of my Nebraska pals (football season is ALMOST here.)
I am very pleased/obsessed with this new tank. For those of you who don't know, GBR stands for Go Big Red.
And then I got really cocky and made this shirt to brag about the fact Nebraska has been selling out games since 1962. If you're a Nebraska football fan, you know. And now we need to let everyone else know.
And that's it for now. I'm heading to Lolla to hang out with the cool kids all day and listen to a little Paul McCartney.
I'll be sending really stupid snapchats all weekend long from @thedailytay while I'm at the festival, so if you're bored, snap with me.
And have a good weekend!!!!
