Introducing Lee Roy The Lumberjack

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of BarkBox for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’d like you all to meet Lee Roy P. Thompkins.

He lives in Biwabik, Minnesota and has worked for the local logging company there for nearly fifty years. But don’t ask him if he’ll ever retire, because he won’t! What would he do all day if he did? Sit at home and twirl his thumbs?

Not Lee Roy. He’s a hard working 7 a.m.- 7 p.m., kind of guy.

He starts off each morning by arranging all of his new BarkBox toys in order of preference at the bottom of his bend. Rocket Monster recently got demoted to the end of the line and it was a very big deal.

Lee Roy then moves onto breakfast, which consists of two eggs, two pieces of bacon, and a piece of toast every morning for breakfast. For lunch it’s a turkey sandwich on toasted bread. And for dinner it’s gravy and roast beef on … you guessed it, a piece of toast. Lee Roy loves toast so much his nickname in high school was actually, Toast. But that’s been ages ago.

Other than warm bread, Lee Roy has two more guilty pleasures he doesn’t share quite as often.

1. France.
When he puts on his red hat he likes to pretend it’s a little red beret and he’s walking the streets of Paris searching for the best baguette and French onion squirrel soup, rather than heading into another day of chopping logs in Biwabik. If he weren’t so afraid of flying he’d actually go one day! Maybe…

2. Online Shopping.

However it’s worth nothing that the only thing he ever shops for is a new BarkBox, mostly because the toys are the best toys he’s ever come across, but also because the treats are delicious. They’re all natural and made in the USA and Canada.

Good ol Lee Roy also can’t turn down a fair priced product, so he absolutely loves that you can get your first BarkBox starting at $21/month!  To learn more about Barkbox and what they offer check out my previous post by clicking here.

Harlow, I mean LEE ROY, is very into Halloween so he was especially excited to receive his spooky “Household Horrors” BarkBox this month. He couldn’t stop talking about it at work.

It was full of his creepiest arch enemies like Zombie Squirrel and Rain of Terror! Spoiler: The Rain of Terror toy is a multi-part toy because it’s 3 toys in 1 and can be a puzzle if you hide treats inside! He spent his entire weekend hiding treats from himself and then happily devouring them.

As the owner of the very eccentric Lee Roy (AKA Harlow) I can’t rave enough about how much we both love BarkBox. It brings me a stupid amount of joy watching him go nuts whenever I bring his monthly BarkBox inside.

If you want to see the biggest smile on your dog’s face ever, visit BarkBox.com for a special limited time offer that ends on 11/2!

*Harlow insists I call him by his alter ego, “Lee Roy the Lumberjack ,” whenever he has his costume on (which is pretty much everyday.) As mentioned, he is VERY into Halloween this year. So thank you for playing along!
