A Tour Of The New Digs

Happy Sunday, everyone! I’m off to my first 5B show at iO, but before I go wanted to share a few photos of the new digs. Keep in mind it’s still a work in progress… But at least it’s starting to feel like a home.

Space is obviously limited in Chicago, but I was determined to have a little writing nook. All in all, I’m happy with this little corner of mine. Alexander Payne is pretty much my idol so I’m hoping this Nebraska poster will give me a little inspiration on those days when the words just won’t come.

And I’m a big fan of exposed brick.

Photos of the bedrooms and kitchen will have to wait… There’s still some work to be done. Enjoy the last of your Sunday!

Exposed brick might be a little too high up on the list of reasons why I left California. Doesn't it just warm everything up? It does the decorating for you. I love love love it.

Gorgeous! I feel like you just moved, but then I see these pictures and I think it must have been weeks ago. I am ridiculously jealous of your productivity.

Bedrooms with an S! How awesome! It's really great. Come to NJ and decorate our house. We've been there a year and it's still a blank canvas.

It's so pretty! I love the exposed brick… but how do you hang things on there?? Do you nail holes into the whatever the stuff is that's in between the bricks? Or is there some other trick that I don't know about because I'm not cool enough for exposed brick? I NEED TO KNOW.

So cute & I totally get the limited space in Chicago. I would love to have a proper library/office room but right now its just an extra nook behind our couch. The things a Chicago girl dreams of!
