Chicago Women’s Funny Festival

I’m about to jump a plane to Denver for a comedy show at the notorious Crossroads Tavern so per my usual Friday post, this will be short and sweet. But first of all, Colorado friends I am excited to see you this weekend! There’s a few things I should warn you of beforehand, things might get a little weird tomorrow night. Crossroads is my safe place. And it’s going to be full of my Colorado family, many of whom helped mold the sense of humor I have today. Which is a dark one. So things will probably turn a little cruder and ruder than usual. And I’m excited. I hope you are too. But if you’re not, maybe sit this one out. Judgement doesn’t go over well in this place.
Like my pal Jenny said last night at the Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, the power in comedy is addressing issues people are uncomfortable with, then pushing them to the point where you have no other choice but to laugh anyway. Or something like that…. I don’t know, I’d had a few beers by this point.
Speaking of the festival, it was a great time!

Beforehand, Chris and I went to Sheffields for a few drinks and dinner.

You can’t really tell, but there’s pulled pork tacos hiding under all that cheese.

And pulled pork sliders. I guess we really like pork…

And then it was time to tell some jokes. It was a good time and only a little bit awkward. I’m not going to say it was my best show ever, but it was alright-ish. At this point my motto is pretty much just que sera sera.
And then when I woke up today I was happy to see something kind of cool happened on this little blog of mine last night. I officially hit over 2 million views! Thanks viewers, that’s neat! And thanks mom for having at least 1 million of those views.
Now it’s almost time to do my favorite thing ever, sip on a Bloody Mary in an airport bar. It’s been far too long. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Follow along on Instagram @taylorgracewolfe if you’d like to see photos of mountains and me drinking a Bloody Mary at Midway Airport.

Two million views, dang girl, you're good! Also pulled pork is by far the most delicious thing…almost ever. I've been on a pulled pork kick lately. Usually on top of nachos!

Congratulations on 2 million views! I just hit 100,000 unique visitors and was feeling pretty special, but I only have a quarter of the page views that you do!

I'm sorry it wasn't your best show ever, but glad you still had fun! I like your attitude!
