I woke up knowing today is going to be a good day.
I sprung out of bed right when my alarm went off and took Harlow for a quick jog, came home and did some yoga in my living room, and then drank two cups of coffee all before 8:00 a.m.
I swear to God that’s what I thought I did this morning. Turns out I didn’t do any of that.
Does anyone else ever have those dreams where you go through your entire morning routine and it feels 100% real? But then you wake up and realize oh shit, I’m still sleeping. Yea, that happened to me today.
But rather than focusing on the negative, I’m going to focus on the positive and talk about five things I’m loving right now. Like for starters the weather in Chicago. I don’t know where the usual midwest humidity has been, but it hasn’t been around Chicago. And thus I’ve been spending my afternoons working at Starbucks. For whatever reason a Starbucks patio is my happy place.
And then there’s dog bars. Chicago is full of them. Why drink at home with your dog when you can take him to a bar? Har’s favorite spot is Raven’s. Although tonight he’s asked to go to Fish Bar. Last time he went there he drank way too much and really embarrassed himself, so we’ll see if they let him in again.
I feel like such a cliche blogger for this next one but I can’t help it. I am really digging my new camera strap. It makes me want to wear tights under my jean shorts and head to Wicker Park to photograph inspirational graffiti while I sip PBR. I mean look how cute it is, if a Native American blanket inspired camera strap doesn’t make me stylish, well then I don’t know what does.
I read the first two paragraphs and hated you. Then I read the third and liked you again.
Haha me too! I was like "Is she for real?!" Thankfully, she wasn't lol.

LOL damn dreams I hate when something really good happens and you feel like you're living your life right then you wake up 45 minutes late and look and feel like shit all day.

Hawkeye loves the dog bars. We're near clark street ale house. She sits on a stool and gets a rocks glass with water and everything
We really need dog bars around here. As much as I enjoy drinking at the house with Izzy, it'd be great if we could go out and be social once in a while.

EVERYTHING is better on a Starbucks patio! Work doesn't feel like work as much when you're sitting somewhere fun I think.
I don't know what it is about Starbucks but I'm always much more productive when I work there.

I am jealous of the Midwest weather right now. Our weather guy (Tampa) posted a picture on Facebook that the Midwest was getting a summer polar vortex with lows of 40 at night. Lucky.
Also, Harlow is as majestic as ever.
Can you please do a review of the anti-hangover pills? Seriously. Maybe if they worked I could then hit up a dog bar. 😉
