I went through an intense overall phase in the 90s. I honestly owned at least five different pairs (in all different colors and patterns obviously) so I could have one for every day of the week, because I was just cool like that.
And more than a decade later I’ve found myself in that phase again and I am totally loving it. So yesterday when I was walking downtown and happened to pass Hollister Co I instantly noticed the cute pair of light denim overalls hanging in the window.
I immediately tried the “bibs” on (did anyone else used to call overalls that or was it just a Nebraska thing?) and I loved how they fit. They’ve got that relaxed style like my favorite boyfriend jeans that I practically live in. They really are the best fit ever. Try on a pair of overalls and you’ll see why I’m obsessed- they’re insanely comfortable and they’ve got more pockets than cargo shorts. Because that’s what we all need, more pockets…
Since I haven’t been in a Hollister Co in ages I figured I might as well look around. I was really surprised by their jean selection and how affordable they all are. They have a wide array of both styles and washes. And right now they’re even running an insane special where you can purchase any jeans in store for $20!
And so now I currently own two pairs of overalls. If I ever find a pair of striped blue and white ones like I had as a kid (which I used to call my “railroad bibs”) I will immediately buy them. My goal is to once again own a pair for every day of the week.

Two things I learned from this post. We both are into overalls. We both might be stuck in the early 90s.
I haven't been to Hollister since high school. I don't think they really make clothes that fit my booty.
I'm going to have to take a look around in Hollister next time I'm in the mall. You look so gorgeous in overalls!

I used to rock overalls in 2002. Not sure if they were in style then, but if they are now, I need to dig those puppies out of storage!
I love these on you! I had a bunch of pairs in high school, including a ghastly khaki pair that made me look like a tank, and probably even did the one hook only, with the other dragging behind me thing. YIKES. That being said, I need a pair now, stat.
