Stream of Thoughts/Confessions…

I ate seven Girl Scout cookies the other day. Those cookies are so stupidly small they just piss me off. Get with the times, Girl Scouts. America likes fat cookies.

I tried to give my hair a “conditioning treatment” before I left for Europe last week. I poured olive oil all over it and let it sit for an hour. And I have to say, it worked wonderfully. My end goal was to look like a greasy rat child for three days and that I did!

It’s 1:45 a.m. and I’m wide awake. WHY?

Instead of sleeping I’m currently reading this blog, this one, and this one.

What blogs are you into right now?

I know a fashion blogger who has like 30k Instagram followers but openly admitted to me she only gets about 500 hits per day on her actual blog. This seems odd to me. But perhaps it’s the new norm?

I haven’t seen Harlow in almost four weeks and I hate it. But he’s going to be waiting for me at home when we land on Friday and I AM SO EXCITED. I’ll probably cry.

On that note, I loathe people who just drop their dog off at a shelter ten years in for no reason at all. How do people do this?

I started the Kayla Itsines 12 week bikini challenge and I lasted two days. Literally two. My before and after shots don’t look that different.

The most common search terms that bring people to my blog right now are “ass cheeks hanging out of shorts” and “how to get kids to like you.” Fitting.

I’m terrible at pre-writing posts. This is killing me right now. I prefer real time writing so much more.

Thank you for stopping by today. Bless your heart. Tomorrow will be better I promise!

those three + yours + Erin @ LIY + Maegen at The Modern Tulip are my most frequent reads. To the point where I just type in your URL into my browser. #therealest

I hear you on the pet-missing. I miss Lumen like CRAZY. I have GREAT news though – my neighbor a block over lost her kitty a few days ago – and she just got him back last night!!! He's perfectly fine, just a little rattled for living on the mean streets of New Jersey for the past four nights. We are thrilled. Yay for furbabes!

Enjoy the rest of your trip!

agreed on the oil treatment. the 4 shampoos it takes to get the oil out gets your hair right back to its original dry state…

You're making me so envious with all those London instagram shots! I miss that city SO much and think it might be time I saved my pennies for a trip. I can only imagine how much you're missing Harlow though. I had my longest trip away over Christmas (9 days) and I don't know what I would have done without the facebook updates. We had our dog at a new boarding facility we were trying for the first time, so I think I'll feel better next time now that I'm confident they won't lose her! I have irrational fears when it comes to that.

Um yes, I miss my dog more then I miss most people. Not even sorry about it either. & Girl scout cookies are from the devil pretty sure.

I would say next time just put it on your ends. Or coconut oil! I don't know how people could leave their pups either. I would carry mine around all day in one of those baby things if it were socially acceptable / if my office would let me.

I heard mayonnaise on your head is a good conditioning treatment, with probably a less greasy outcome haha.

Yes to all three of those blogs. My current new favorites of the moment are http://themakerista.com/ and http://www.heynataliejean.com/. And I hear you on missing your puppy. I left mine with my parents for a long weekend recently and it felt like years, I cannot imagine a month! Please post pictures of your joyful reunion.

I feel like a mom dropping her kid off on the first day of kindergarten ever.single.time I leave Bear at the kennel. The worst (but actually great) part is that he freakin' loves it there and if he could I know he would say "Moooooom just go, I'm fine, oh gawd… now you're crying… pathetic…".

Haha you're so right about Girl Scout cookies, I mean I know they expect us to just eat the whole box in one sitting but still! I miss our dogs when we're out of town too, and worry about them like they're our children, because they basically are.

Wow what a post. You had me cracking up with the searches that bring most people to your blog. I agree I hated it when I had to leave my fur baby. They are such a huge part of your life that it is hard to image it without them.

I didn't even last a day of Kayla Itsines … I downloaded the free one and considered that to be a grand feat … then looked down and wondered why my abs weren't showing yet.
